Nikola is an excellent partner when it comes to creating astonishing Webflow projects. He not only offers a lot of flexibility but also matches our standards in terms of perfectionism. He goes every extra-mile there is and tackles every challenge along the way excellently. We delivered a Figma-Prototype and Nikola turned it into a state of the art Webflow Website, including interactions and complex third-party implementations – and we were very happy with both the result and the collaboration.

I've been working with Nikola for six months as one of our company's contract web developers, and the speed and quality of his work is unlike anything I've ever seen.  I'm not sure when he sleeps, but somehow he's still able to produce an awesome website. What I also appreciate is his flexibility and willingness to iterate with us as we constantly improve our web presence in real-time.

Frequently asked questions.

  • Do you work with agencies?

Almost all my work comes through agencies, and has for about 3 years now. I take the design that's already done and build it out in Webflow so it works the way it should.

  • Do you work white-label?

Always. A lot of the enterprise work I've built isn't even in my portfolio, because it belongs to the agency, not me. I'm also fine signing an NDA before we start, and usually do.

  • How do we work together day to day?

Most of the time I'm in Slack with the team day to day, we track the process in Notion, and for anything detailed I'll send a Loom or we hop on a call to talk it through. That said, I can easily adapt to whatever process or tools your team already uses.

  • What do we get when the build is done?

You get a fully organized project that's easy to manage. Clean components and a CMS your team can actually work with, folders sorted for every image, Lottie and video, all named properly and with alt text in place. The SEO structure is solid with schema and AEO, and I finish with a Loom walking your marketer through exactly how to manage the site without second-guessing anything.

  • What if the client wants more pages or changes later?

Definitely. Whether it's a few changes or new pages, we continue on hourly or a fixed price, whichever fits the scope.

  • What can you build beyond standard Webflow?

Quite a lot. When a design needs something native Webflow can't do on its own, I build it with custom code. GSAP animations, page transitions, custom video players, advanced sliders with Swiper or Splide, that kind of thing. I keep it efficient though, CSS-first for interactions, JavaScript only where it's needed, so the site stays fast no matter how much is going on.

  • Can you handle integrations and automations?

Yes. I've connected sites to HubSpot, set up custom API integrations, and built automations with Zapier and Make. If the site needs to talk to a CRM, push form data somewhere, or run a workflow on its own, I can wire it up.

  • Can you handle large or complex CMS builds?

Yes, this is something I do a lot. I structure CMS collections so they scale cleanly, and build filtering, search, load-more and dynamic content with Finsweet and custom code where needed. Content-heavy sites stay easy to manage instead of turning into a mess.

  • Do you handle WordPress to Webflow migrations?

I do. The build itself is straightforward, the real care goes into SEO continuity, redirect mapping, preserved metadata, and clean CMS structure, so the move doesn't cost the client traffic.

  • Is the build SEO-ready?

Yes, SEO is built into the site from the start, not added on at the end. Clean semantic markup, proper heading structure, meta titles and descriptions, schema, alt text on every image, and fast load times that score well on Core Web Vitals. The technical foundation is solid, so your SEO team has a clean base to build on.

  • Do you optimize for AI search (AEO)?

Yes. AEO is about making the site easy for AI answer engines to read and pull from, not just ranking in classic search. I structure content clearly, use schema so machines understand what each part means, and format key information so it's easy to surface. As more people search through AI tools, this keeps the site visible where traditional SEO alone doesn't reach.

  • How do you price and bill?

Most of my work is fixed, project-based pricing. The number depends on the scope and the size of the build, so I'll need to see the design first before I can give a final quote. I usually work 50% upfront and 50% once we're done.

  • Do you take on hourly work?

Yes. For smaller tasks, ongoing tweaks or open-ended work where a fixed quote doesn't make sense, I bill hourly. We agree on the rate upfront, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

  • How long does a build take?

It depends on the size of the build. A landing page is usually 2 to 3 working days, and a 5 to 8 page site with a CMS takes around 3 to 7 working days. Anything bigger gets scoped around the work, so you have a clear timeline before we start.

  • Do you support agency retainers?

Yes. If you offer your clients ongoing maintenance, I can be the developer behind it. You hold the retainer with your client, I handle the Webflow work in the background, so it stays your relationship and your margin.

  • What does that cover?

Whatever keeps your client's site healthy. Fixes, content updates, new pages, small features and general upkeep. You take the brief from the client, I do the work white-label, and it ships under your name.

  • How does a retainer work?

It runs as a set block of hours each month, sized to how much your client's site needs. That can range from a smaller 10 hour block up to 40+ hours if you've got several sites under maintenance. We agree on the block and rate upfront, and it can flex as the work changes.

  • How quickly do you turn work around?

Retainer work gets priority. You can count on a same or next business day reply, and anything urgent jumps ahead of the queue, so you can keep your client updated with confidence.

About me.

Nikola Jakimovik, freelance Webflow developer
Hi, I'm Nikola

I started out as a designer, but once I discovered Webflow, I knew that’s where I wanted to focus. It combined everything I enjoyed clean structure, visual creativity, and the power of custom code. Over time, I shifted fully into development and never looked back. For the past four years, I’ve been working full-time as a Webflow developer, collaborating with amazing agencies, freelancers, designers, and developers from around the world. I care deeply about clean builds, smooth interactions, and delivering high-quality results. For me, it’s all about creating websites that not only look great but work perfectly, and are easy to maintain for everyone involved.
